Smith  I suppose it is rather late now for me to apply for the Freedom  (87!)\r\n and when I last looked twenty years ago I would not have been able to sign the religious declaration..I am wondering if that is still necessary ....\r\nThere was an exhibition of my father&#039;s life in  1994 in the Museum...A Freeman in Exile .....and his books and other things were given to the Museum then. I spent some happy visits sorting all that out in 1992\/3 and connecting with the family of Edmund Smith also a Freeman. People have been asking me questions, since,un known to me, Phyllis Kenny painted a portrait which I believe hangs now in the Gallery....!
