Freedom Ceremonies

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Mayor will, at the Town Hall, Berwick-upon-Tweed on the days and times stated in the Schedule hereunder, examine into such claims by persons entitled to be admitted Freemen of the Town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, according to the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972 as might be made not less than 48 hours previously thereto and if the same shall be established will then and there order that the said persons be admitted and enrolled upon the Freeman’s Roll of the said Town. AND NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that claims to be admitted on days other than those stated will only be entertained upon the Town Mayor being satisfied that there are special circumstances for their expedition.
